A few scenes

Just a few scenes that are 90% finished (face needs to be added on one, all must be edited).

The pen

I love it. I feel I have better control over paper, but the pen solves my one problem with that: Erasing! Perfect erasing, no ruined paper...and its much easier to start over and trying a few sketches.

Progress

Moving steadily along. This week the animation is scheduled to be finished...we'll see how far along I get in reality! Stop motion is gonna take up all of next week, which is why I'm hoping to finish up this week.

SNARG!

Meet Snarg. He is mean, green and pissed off he has to get up at 7 AM (like most of us).

Premise and Script

Premise:

The premise of my animation involves a goblin and his daily work routine at the local dungeon. We get to see how a day at the "office" looks like in his shoes.

This idea has changed a good bit from the original premise I had posted earlier in the blog. Just goes to show you how ideas will change over time.

Script:

We open with a shot of a goblin in bed.

Close up of ringing alarm clock, the goblin turns it off.

Goblin rises from bed and stretches and heads out of the room.

He enters a room and steam comes out as we hear water running.

The goblin emerges wrapped in a towel and dripping and we follow a long pan shot as the goblin walks down a hall grabbing a spear and metal hat. He passes into a door and comes out the other side dressed in brown pants.

The goblin then treks over a few hills while a sign reads “Dungeon 1 mile”

The goblin arrives at a castle-like doorway with a sign signifying that this indeed is the dungeon. The camera pans up and we see a flashing “Welcome” sign in bright yellow lights.

Entering the door, the goblin is greeted by a receptionist (another monster) and he heads to clock in.

As he enters, he looks up and views a hanging skeleton, walks past a door in which men are casting a spell around a pit and easily avoids a few traps.

The goblin crosses paths with another goblin and they both wave as they pass each other.

The goblin then reaches a room with a small wooden stool and a large chest. On the wall are a clock and a red button. The goblin sits down, places his spear against the chest and waits.

Time passes

The goblin becomes bored and starts to fall asleep

More time passes

The goblin is now fighting an off screen foe whose sword is visible. The goblin is only using one hand and appears to be very nonchalant. He then reaches up and pushes the red button, releasing a larger monster, who frightens and chases away the unseen foe.

The goblin then checks the time, sees it is quitting time and retraces his steps and heads home. Upon reaching his home, he changes, drops his spear and we cut to his bedroom where he flops upon the bed.

The rest!

Behold part one of the great upload!

Ball 1

Ball 2: This is the one only using the curves...I don't like using them.

Jump using the character from class.

2nd half to come!
