Post Mortem

Well, I guess I'm about 85% satisfied with my final piece. Some things could have been better, but hey, some things I put in there weren't part of the original storyboards...but they were just great ideas (at least to me). The story was told, the animation was completed, what more can I say at this point. I learned a lot and hopefully my flash skills will continue to improve.

Last Day

After a final crunch, the animation is finished. It has been awesome to learn flash, I plan on using it in the future (with a much simpler project though so I can concentrate on the animation more so than the story). Overall, I'm pleased with how the film turned out. Some things could be different, but I suppose everyone has something to criticize when it comes to personal work.

Also, I believe the sound compression wonked out at the start...I had the same problem with the last animatic I did for another class...no clue! Anyway, it stops about 5 seconds in. ENJOY YOUR DEVO.

Week 10

Well, I'm now trying to finish up concept and digital cel. All weekend was devoted to stopmotion...it was a disaster trying to work around 16 other people. We only had a single weekend devoted to shooting due to the how the class schedule panned out...let's just say that stress levels are at an all time high!

Week 9

Well, there has been a lag in production due to my Concept class. Three studios: not a bright idea.

A few scenes

Just a few scenes that are 90% finished (face needs to be added on one, all must be edited).

The pen

I love it. I feel I have better control over paper, but the pen solves my one problem with that: Erasing! Perfect erasing, no ruined paper...and its much easier to start over and trying a few sketches.

Progress

Moving steadily along. This week the animation is scheduled to be finished...we'll see how far along I get in reality! Stop motion is gonna take up all of next week, which is why I'm hoping to finish up this week.
